I found many structures like this one in Kerrytown, but this one specifically caught my eye because of it's interesting numbering of windows or window like patterns, just in the image to the very left you can see that there are around 12 windows in this side alone. It immediately makes you ask for what purpose would this be necessary |
This building had many appealing factors, first being it's sheer scale, even though it may not look like it in the image this building was very big. It covered around 100 yards, a size of a football field. This was also, built in a old style of architecture, you can see this by judging the separation of the windows with a bar sort of structure, diligently made windows, and even the overall style of building, like building it in length compared to making it in a square like structure. Lastly, in these images, I thought the colors contrasted and blended in very well in this image, the sun from the background illuminated the building in a fascinating way. |
This is supposed to be a very old church, in all honesty, this looked something straight out of a horror movie, "a withes palace" if you will. But, that was before I had removed the tree that was looming over this covering parts of the center mirror. After, removing it it had very good symmetry to it, across the vertical line. Also, the mirror's flower with 8 pedals within nearly perfectly circular shape. |
These photos were particularly hard to take, or any type of modern architecture. Modern building use a lot of straight edges and lines. Which makes it really hard to decide with line should align with the cameras side. If you don't take it in a specific way, it causes the parts behind to look curled and unrealistic/unpleasant. But, I think these images were taken from the right angles so that unpleasantness doesn't appear. |
Old churchThis had many defining features, one of such is the many patterned windows separated with diligently crafted separations like in one of the images above. The connected old watch-tower like structure behind it. You can also see the many that lie on top and around the entire structure, such as the roof covered with rhombuses with one circle in the center of each. A almost symmetrical structure with the exception of the watch-tower like structure. |
